Privacy Policy

HourAlign is a browser-only tool: meeting inputs stay on your device and are never uploaded.

What we do not collect

HourAlign has no accounts, no sign-up and no server-side storage of meeting inputs. Cities, work hours, dates and durations you enter, and the share link derived from them, are processed by JavaScript in your browser.

We do not use advertising, Google Signals or cross-site tracking. Core scheduling assets run locally from the houralign.com origin with no remote fonts.

Share links

A share link keeps the meeting inputs in the URL fragment (the part after the # symbol). Browsers do not send URL fragments in HTTP requests, so the fragment is not transmitted to our server when you open or copy the link. Anyone you send the link to can read its contents, so do not put private information in the tool fields.

Optional analytics and cookies

HourAlign may offer optional Google Analytics 4 to understand general traffic trends. In default policy, in regions requiring prior consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and conservative jurisdictions) or where visitor region is unknown, measurement only activates if you choose Allow in the footer settings. In other recognized regions, measurement is enabled by default with opt-out available at any time via the footer settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track (DNT) signal, analytics remains completely inactive. Opting out or withdrawing consent never restricts any tool features.

When enabled, Google Analytics uses pseudonymous cookies (such as _ga, expiring in up to 180 days) to distinguish unique visits, and your choice is remembered in localStorage for up to 180 days (or temporary memory if storage is unavailable). Google receives standard connection metadata, including your IP address, browser type, device details, referring domain, and clean page addresses without meeting inputs or URL fragments (#). While advertising features, Google Signals, and ad personalization are disabled with no cross-site identification, network requests naturally touch your IP address and we do not claim complete anonymity. Data may be processed on servers outside your country by Google and its affiliates. Learn how Google uses information from sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and see Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy .

User and event data retention in Google Analytics is limited to 2 months with reset on new activity disabled; aggregate reports may remain longer. You can opt out or withdraw consent at any time via the footer settings, which immediately stops collection and clears Google analytics cookies without affecting your saved time zones.

Server logs

Like most web servers, the hosting provider may record the pages requested and standard request metadata (such as IP address, user agent and timestamp) for security and reliability. We do not combine those logs with meeting inputs, because the inputs never leave your browser.

Page counting

The site counts page views on its own server to know which pages are useful. This first-party count uses no cookies, no third-party analytics, and no tracking scripts.

We do not store IP addresses or full browser identifiers. A visitor is only counted through an irreversible hash that includes a random salt changed every day, so visits cannot be linked across days. Raw records are deleted after 14 days; only daily totals are kept longer.
